A word from the President
Dear Afera Members,

David Smith, Economics Editor of The Sunday Times, recently presented to Afera a cautiously optimistic report on the state of Europe and the global economy. I think it is safe to say that while we are still experiencing some difficult after-effects of the crisis, there are some interesting opportunities out there for European businesses.

Afera’s 7th Technical Seminar is two weeks away, and although seats are filling fast, there is still time to register. Afera Technical Committee Chairman Evert Smit and his team have done an excellent job in developing a programme covering the fundamentals of adhesion and adhesives; tape production, testing, and regulatory aspects; new tape uses and trends; and new and sustainable uses. Whether you come from the technical community or other disciplines, participating in this year’s Technical Seminar will provide you with the knowledge and interaction you need to cope better with the rapidly changing demands of customers.

I wish you all a successful spring,

Laurent Derolez
